16 Jehoash rested with his fathers, and he was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel. His son Jeroboam became king in his place.[a]

2 Kings 14:16

And Jehoash slept with his fathers
Died as they died:

and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel;
where they were:

and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead;
which was Jeroboam the second.

2 Kings 14:16 In-Context

14 He took all the gold and silver and all the utensils found in the Lord's temple and in the treasuries of the king's palace, and the hostages. Then he returned to Samaria.
