Mark 12:11 Meaning and Commentary

Mark 12:11

This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our
eyes.
] That is, the exaltation of the Messiah, after he had been so ill treated, and at last put to death by the Jews. These words are a continuation of the passage cited out of ( Psalms 118:22 Psalms 118:23 ) .

9 "Therefore, what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers and give the vineyard to others.
10 Haven't you read this Scripture: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
11 This came from the Lord and is wonderful in our eyes ?"
12 Because they knew He had said this parable against them, they were looking for a way to arrest Him, but they were afraid of the crowd. So they left Him and went away.
13 Then they sent some of the Pharisees and the Herodians to Him to trap Him by what He said.
