Exodus 26:15

And thou shalt make the boards for the tabernacle
Which were the pillars and supports, and properly the walls of it, which gave it its firmness and security, or otherwise the curtains would have been blown about by every wind: they were to be made

of shittim wood standing up;
just as they grew, as a Jewish writer observes ^F16; these planks or boards were not to be laid along the lengthways of them, but to be set upright; and may denote such who are pillars in the house of God, and are to be upright both in heart and conversation, both ministers and private members; and indeed the church itself is the pillar and ground of truth, ( Galatians 2:9 ) ( Revelation 3:12 ) ( 1 Timothy 3:15 ) .

13 罩 棚 的 幔 子 所 餘 長 的 ， 這 邊 一 肘 ， 那 邊 一 肘 ， 要 垂 在 帳 幕 的 兩 旁 ， 遮 蓋 帳 幕 。

14 又 要 用 染 紅 的 公 羊 皮 做 罩 棚 的 蓋 ； 再 用 海 狗 皮 做 一 層 罩 棚 上 的 頂 蓋 。

15 你 要 用 皂 莢 木 做 帳 幕 的 豎 板 。

16 每 塊 要 長 十 肘 ， 寬 一 肘 半 ；

17 每 塊 必 有 兩 榫 相 對 。 帳 幕 一 切 的 板 都 要 這 樣 做 。
