7 我 要 以 你 們 為 我 的 百 姓 ， 我 也 要 作 你 們 的 　 神 。 你 們 要 知 道 我 是 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們 的 　 神 ， 是 救 你 們 脫 離 埃 及 人 之 重 擔 的 。

Exodus 6:7

And I will take you to me for a people
Out of the hands of the Egyptians, and out of their country, to be in a political sense his kingdom and subjects; and in a religious sense a holy people to himself, to fear, serve, worship, and glorify him, by walking according to laws and rules given them by him; and this he did by setting up and establishing a civil and ecclesiastical polity among them: and I will be to you a God;
their King and their God to rule over them, protect and defend them, they being a theocracy; and their covenant God and Father, giving them various spiritual privileges, the adoption, the glory, the covenant, the law, service, and promises: and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God;
by the promises fulfilled, the favours granted, and the deliverances wrought for them: which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians;

5 我 也 聽 見 以 色 列 人 被 埃 及 人 苦 待 的 哀 聲 ， 我 也 記 念 我 的 約 。

6 所 以 你 要 對 以 色 列 人 說 ： 我 是 耶 和 華 ； 我 要 用 伸 出 來 的 膀 臂 重 重 的 刑 罰 埃 及 人 ， 救 贖 你 們 脫 離 他 們 的 重 擔 ， 不 做 他 們 的 苦 工 。

8 我 起 誓 應 許 給 亞 伯 拉 罕 、 以 撒 、 雅 各 的 那 地 ， 我 要 把 你 們 領 進 去 ， 將 那 地 賜 給 你 們 為 業 。 我 是 耶 和 華 。

9 摩 西 將 這 話 告 訴 以 色 列 人 ， 只 是 他 們 因 苦 工 愁 煩 ， 不 肯 聽 他 的 話 。
