9 就 是 與 以 攔 王 基 大 老 瑪 、 戈 印 王 提 達 、 示 拿 王 暗 拉 非 、 以 拉 撒 王 亞 略 交 戰 ； 乃 是 四 王 與 五 王 交 戰 。

Who is here mentioned first, being the principal in the war, and against whom the kings of Sodom had rebelled: and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and
Arioch king of Ellasar;
who were his allies, confederates, and auxiliaries: four kings with five;
those four last mentioned, with the other five before spoken of, that is, they fought with them; or rather four kings against five, as the Vulgate Latin and Tigurine versions, and some others.

8 於 是 所 多 瑪 王 、 蛾 摩 拉 王 、 押 瑪 王 、 洗 扁 王 ， 和 比 拉 王 （ 比 拉 就 是 瑣 珥 ） 都 出 來 ， 在 西 訂 谷 擺 陣 ， 與 他 們 交 戰 ，

10 西 訂 谷 有 許 多 石 漆 坑 。 所 多 瑪 王 和 蛾 摩 拉 王 逃 跑 ， 有 掉 在 坑 裡 的 ， 其 餘 的 人 都 往 山 上 逃 跑 。

11 四 王 就 把 所 多 瑪 和 蛾 摩 拉 所 有 的 財 物 ， 並 一 切 的 糧 食 都 擄 掠 去 了 ；
