42 我 今 日 到 了 井 旁 ， 便 說 ： 耶 和 華 ─ 我 主 人 亞 伯 拉 罕 的 　 神 阿 ， 願 你 叫 我 所 行 的 道 路 通 達 。

Genesis 24:42

And I came this day unto the well
Hither he was come at length by several days' journey; not on the same day he came from Abraham, as the Jewish writers say ^F14, by means of a miracle: and said, O Lord God of my master Abraham;
being come to the well, he prayed as follows: if now thou do prosper the way which I go;
his meaning is, that if it was the pleasure of God that he should succeed in what he was come about, that he would let him know it by a token; and in ( Genesis 24:42-48 ) he relates the token he desired, which was granted him, and his success, as before recorded, from ( Genesis 24:21-27 ) .

40 他 就 說 ： 我 所 事 奉 的 耶 和 華 必 要 差 遣 他 的 使 者 與 你 同 去 ， 叫 你 的 道 路 通 達 ， 你 就 得 以 在 我 父 家 、 我 本 族 那 裡 ， 給 我 的 兒 子 娶 一 個 妻 子 。

41 只 要 你 到 了 我 本 族 那 裡 ， 我 使 你 起 的 誓 就 與 你 無 干 。 他 們 若 不 把 女 子 交 給 你 ， 我 使 你 起 的 誓 也 與 你 無 干 。

42 我 今 日 到 了 井 旁 ， 便 說 ： 耶 和 華 ─ 我 主 人 亞 伯 拉 罕 的 　 神 阿 ， 願 你 叫 我 所 行 的 道 路 通 達 。

43 我 如 今 站 在 井 旁 ， 對 那 一 個 出 來 打 水 的 女 子 說 ： 請 你 把 你 瓶 裡 的 水 給 我 一 點 喝 ；

44 他 若 說 ： 你 只 管 喝 ， 我 也 為 你 的 駱 駝 打 水 ； 願 那 女 子 就 作 耶 和 華 給 我 主 人 兒 子 所 預 定 的 妻 。
