9 又 向 東 延 到 伯 拉 河 這 邊 的 曠 野 ， 因 為 他 們 在 基 列 地 牲 畜 增 多 。

1 Chronicles 5:9

And eastward he inhabited
Either Bela, or the tribe of Reuben:

unto the entering in of the wilderness;
the wilderness of Kedemoth, which was near to Sihon king of Heshbon, whose land the Reubenites inhabited, ( Deuteronomy 2:26 )

from the river Euphrates;
a learned man ^F18 thinks that this river Phrat was different from the Euphrates near Babylon, which was northward, since this was to the east or southeast:

because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead;
therefore their habitation was extended further, even to the river Euphrates, as in the days of David and Solomon, ( 2 Samuel 8:3 ) ( 1 Kings 4:21 ) .

7 他 的 弟 兄 照 著 宗 族 ， 按 著 家 譜 作 族 長 的 是 耶 利 、 撒 迦 利 雅 、 比 拉 。

8 比 拉 是 亞 撒 的 兒 子 ； 亞 撒 是 示 瑪 的 兒 子 ； 示 瑪 是 約 珥 的 兒 子 ； 約 珥 所 住 的 地 方 是 從 亞 羅 珥 直 到 尼 波 和 巴 力 免 ，

9 又 向 東 延 到 伯 拉 河 這 邊 的 曠 野 ， 因 為 他 們 在 基 列 地 牲 畜 增 多 。

10 掃 羅 年 間 ， 他 們 與 夏 甲 人 爭 戰 ， 夏 甲 人 倒 在 他 們 手 下 ， 他 們 就 在 基 列 東 邊 的 全 地 ， 住 在 夏 甲 人 的 帳 棚 裡 。

11 迦 得 的 子 孫 在 流 便 對 面 ， 住 在 巴 珊 地 ， 延 到 撒 迦 。
