21 羅 波 安 娶 十 八 個 妻 ， 立 六 十 個 妾 ， 生 二 十 八 個 兒 子 ， 六 十 個 女 兒 ； 他 卻 愛 押 沙 龍 的 女 兒 瑪 迦 ， 比 愛 別 的 妻 妾 更 甚 。

2 Chronicles 11:21

And Rehoboam loved Maacah the daughter of Absalom above all
his wives and his concubines,
&c] Who is called Michaiah, the daughter of Uriel, ( 2 Chronicles 13:2 ) ,

for he took eighteen wives and sixty concubines;
led thereunto by the example of his father Solomon, contrary to the command of God, ( Deuteronomy 17:17 )

and begat twenty eight sons and sixty daughters;
to have many children was reckoned a great blessing, but it was not honourable to have them in such a way.

22 羅 波 安 立 瑪 迦 的 兒 子 亞 比 雅 作 太 子 ， 在 他 弟 兄 中 為 首 ， 因 為 想 要 立 他 接 續 作 王 。

23 羅 波 安 辦 事 精 明 ， 使 他 眾 子 分 散 在 猶 大 和 便 雅 憫 全 地 各 堅 固 城 裡 ， 又 賜 他 們 許 多 糧 食 ， 為 他 們 多 尋 妻 子 。
