1 Kings 13:1

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah
Whom Josephus ^F24 calls Jadon, perhaps the same with Iddo, who is by the Jewish writers ^F25 generally thought to be this man of God, and which may seem to be countenanced by ( 2 Chronicles 9:29 ) but cannot be, because this man was quickly slain, whereas Iddo lived after Rehoboam, and wrote his acts, first and last, nay, after Ahijah his son, ( 2 Chronicles 13:22 ) and for the same reason Shemaiah cannot be the man of God, ( 1 Kings 12:22 ) , though Tertullian ^F26 calls him Sameas, and designs Shemaiah: but, whoever he was, he came

by the word of the Lord to Bethel:
that is, by his command:

and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense;
at the time he came, ( 1 Kings 12:33 ) .

1 那 時 ， 有 一 個 　 神 人 奉 耶 和 華 的 命 從 猶 大 來 到 伯 特 利 。 耶 羅 波 安 正 站 在 壇 旁 要 燒 香 ；

2 神 人 奉 耶 和 華 的 命 向 壇 呼 叫 ， 說 ： 壇 哪 ， 壇 哪 ！ 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 大 衛 家 裡 必 生 一 個 兒 子 ， 名 叫 約 西 亞 ， 他 必 將 邱 壇 的 祭 司 ， 就 是 在 你 上 面 燒 香 的 ， 殺 在 你 上 面 ， 人 的 骨 頭 也 必 燒 在 你 上 面 。

3 當 日 ， 神 人 設 個 預 兆 ， 說 ： 這 壇 必 破 裂 ， 壇 上 的 灰 必 傾 撒 ， 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 預 兆 。

4 耶 羅 波 安 王 聽 見 　 神 人 向 伯 特 利 的 壇 所 呼 叫 的 話 ， 就 從 壇 上 伸 手 ， 說 ： 拿 住 他 罷 ！ 王 向 神 人 所 伸 的 手 就 枯 乾 了 ， 不 能 彎 回 ；

5 壇 也 破 裂 了 ， 壇 上 的 灰 傾 撒 了 ， 正 如 　 神 人 奉 耶 和 華 的 命 所 設 的 預 兆 。
