Deuteronomy 28:47

Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God
By attending his worship, and keeping his commandments:

with joyfulness and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all
[things];
which they enjoyed in the land of Canaan, a land that abounded with all good things; which laid them under great obligations to serve the Lord: and yet, as they were wanting in a ready attendance on his worship, and in a cheerful obedience to his laws, so in their sacrifices, of praise and thanksgivings for their manifold mercies; and, because of all this, the curses written in this book came upon them.

45 這 一 切 咒 詛 必 追 隨 你 ， 趕 上 你 ， 直 到 你 滅 亡 ； 因 為 你 不 聽 從 耶 和 華 ─ 你 　 神 的 話 ， 不 遵 守 他 所 吩 咐 的 誡 命 律 例 。

46 這 些 咒 詛 必 在 你 和 你 後 裔 的 身 上 成 為 異 蹟 奇 事 ， 直 到 永 遠 ！

47 因 為 你 富 有 的 時 候 ， 不 歡 心 樂 意 的 事 奉 耶 和 華 ─ 你 的 　 神 ，

48 所 以 你 必 在 飢 餓 、 乾 渴 、 赤 露 、 缺 乏 之 中 事 奉 耶 和 華 所 打 發 來 攻 擊 你 的 仇 敵 。 他 必 把 鐵 軛 加 在 你 的 頸 項 上 ， 直 到 將 你 滅 絕 。

49 耶 和 華 要 從 遠 方 、 地 極 帶 一 國 的 民 ， 如 鷹 飛 來 攻 擊 你 。 這 民 的 言 語 ， 你 不 懂 得 。
