18 我 今 日 明 明 告 訴 你 們 ， 你 們 必 要 滅 亡 ； 在 你 過 約 但 河 、 進 去 得 為 業 的 地 上 ， 你 的 日 子 必 不 長 久 。

Deuteronomy 30:18

I denounce unto, you this day that ye shall surely perish,
&c.] By one judgment or another; this he most solemnly averred, and it might be depended upon that it would certainly be their case; see ( Deuteronomy 4:26 ) ;

[and that] ye shall not prolong [your] days upon the land, whither
thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it;
but be cut short by death, of one kind or another, by sword, or famine, or pestilence, or be carried into captivity; one or other of which were frequently their case.

16 吩 咐 你 愛 耶 和 華 ─ 你 的 　 神 ， 遵 行 他 的 道 ， 謹 守 他 的 誡 命 、 律 例 、 典 章 ， 使 你 可 以 存 活 ， 人 數 增 多 ， 耶 和 華 ─ 你 　 神 就 必 在 你 所 要 進 去 得 為 業 的 地 上 賜 福 與 你 。

17 倘 若 你 心 裡 偏 離 ， 不 肯 聽 從 ， 卻 被 勾 引 去 敬 拜 事 奉 別 　 神 ，

18 我 今 日 明 明 告 訴 你 們 ， 你 們 必 要 滅 亡 ； 在 你 過 約 但 河 、 進 去 得 為 業 的 地 上 ， 你 的 日 子 必 不 長 久 。

19 我 今 日 呼 天 喚 地 向 你 作 見 證 ； 我 將 生 死 禍 福 陳 明 在 你 面 前 ， 所 以 你 要 揀 選 生 命 ， 使 你 和 你 的 後 裔 都 得 存 活 ；

20 且 且 愛 耶 和 華 ─ 你 的 　 神 ， 聽 從 他 的 話 ， 專 靠 他 ； 因 為 他 是 你 的 生 命 ， 你 的 日 子 長 久 也 在 乎 他 。 這 樣 ， 你 就 可 以 在 耶 和 華 向 你 列 祖 亞 伯 拉 罕 、 以 撒 、 雅 各 起 誓 應 許 所 賜 的 地 上 居 住 。
