4 惟 有 你 們 專 靠 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們 　 神 的 人 ， 今 日 全 都 存 活 。

Deuteronomy 4:4

But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God
To the worship of the Lord your God, as the Targum of Jonathan; attended the service of the sanctuary, were observant of the laws of God, and walked in his statutes and judgments; did not apostatize from him by idolatry or otherwise, but kept close unto him, and followed him fully:

are alive everyone of you this day;
which is very remarkable, that in such a vast number of people not one should die in such a space of time, it being several months since that affair happened; and besides, in that time there was a war with the Midianites, and yet not one person died in that war, nor as it seems by this account by any disease or disaster whatever; see ( Numbers 31:49 ) .

2 所 吩 咐 你 們 的 話 ， 你 們 不 可 加 添 ， 也 不 可 刪 減 ， 好 叫 你 們 遵 守 我 所 吩 咐 的 ， 就 是 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們 　 神 的 命 令 。

3 耶 和 華 因 巴 力 毘 珥 的 事 所 行 的 ， 你 們 親 眼 看 見 了 。 凡 隨 從 巴 力 毘 珥 的 人 ， 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們 的 　 神 都 從 你 們 中 間 除 滅 了 。

4 惟 有 你 們 專 靠 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們 　 神 的 人 ， 今 日 全 都 存 活 。

5 我 照 著 耶 和 華 ─ 我 　 神 所 吩 咐 的 將 律 例 典 章 教 訓 你 們 ， 使 你 們 在 所 要 進 去 得 為 業 的 地 上 遵 行 。

6 所 以 你 們 要 謹 守 遵 行 ； 這 就 是 你 們 在 萬 民 眼 前 的 智 慧 、 聰 明 。 他 們 聽 見 這 一 切 律 例 ， 必 說 ： 這 大 國 的 人 真 是 有 智 慧 ， 有 聰 明 ！
