15 對 他 說 ： 耶 弗 他 如 此 說 ， 以 色 列 人 並 沒 有 佔 據 摩 押 地 和 亞 捫 人 的 地 。

Judges 11:15

And said unto him
By his messengers:

thus saith Jephthah;
in a majestic style, as governor of Israel:

Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of
Ammon;
they were charged not to take any, nor did they take any that belonged to any of these countries, or that was then in the possession of either of them, ( Deuteronomy 2:9 Deuteronomy 2:19 ) what they did take was in the hands of Sihon and Og, and they had obtained it by conquest, and so no more belonging to either of these.

13 亞 捫 人 的 王 回 答 耶 弗 他 的 使 者 說 ： 因 為 以 色 列 從 埃 及 上 來 的 時 候 佔 據 我 的 地 ， 從 亞 嫩 河 到 雅 博 河 ， 直 到 約 但 河 。 現 在 你 要 好 好 地 將 這 地 歸 還 罷 ！

14 耶 弗 他 又 打 發 使 者 去 見 亞 捫 人 的 王 ，

15 對 他 說 ： 耶 弗 他 如 此 說 ， 以 色 列 人 並 沒 有 佔 據 摩 押 地 和 亞 捫 人 的 地 。

16 以 色 列 人 從 埃 及 上 來 乃 是 經 過 曠 野 到 紅 海 ， 來 到 加 低 斯 ，

17 就 打 發 使 者 去 見 以 東 王 ， 說 ： 求 你 容 我 從 你 的 地 經 過 。 以 東 王 卻 不 應 允 。 又 照 樣 打 發 使 者 去 見 摩 押 王 ， 他 也 不 允 准 。 以 色 列 人 就 住 在 加 低 斯 。
