12 米 甸 人 、 亞 瑪 力 人 ， 和 一 切 東 方 人 都 布 散 在 平 原 ， 如 同 蝗 蟲 那 樣 多 。 他 們 的 駱 駝 無 數 ， 多 如 海 邊 的 沙 。

Judges 7:12

And the Midianites and the Amalekites, and the children of the
east
The Arabians, who with the Amalekites joined the Midianites in this expedition:

lay along in the valley
in the valley of Jezreel, in their tents, which overspread the valley, or at least great part of it:

like grasshoppers for multitude;
or locusts, which usually come in great numbers, and cover the air and the sun where they fly, and the earth where they light, as they did the land of Egypt; this army consisted at least of 135,000 men, as is clear from ( Judges 8:10 )

and their camels were without number; as the sand is by the sea side
for multitude;
an hyperbolical expression, setting forth the great number of them which the countries of Midian and Arabia abounded with; and were very proper to bring with them, to load and carry off the booty they came for, the fruits of the earth; see ( Judges 6:4 Judges 6:5 ) .

10 倘 若 你 怕 下 去 ， 就 帶 你 的 僕 人 普 拉 下 到 那 營 裡 去 。

11 你 必 聽 見 他 們 所 說 的 ， 然 後 你 就 有 膽 量 下 去 攻 營 。 於 是 基 甸 帶 著 僕 人 普 拉 下 到 營 旁 。

12 米 甸 人 、 亞 瑪 力 人 ， 和 一 切 東 方 人 都 布 散 在 平 原 ， 如 同 蝗 蟲 那 樣 多 。 他 們 的 駱 駝 無 數 ， 多 如 海 邊 的 沙 。

13 基 甸 到 了 ， 就 聽 見 一 人 將 夢 告 訴 同 伴 說 ： 我 做 了 一 夢 ， 夢 見 一 個 大 麥 餅 滾 入 米 甸 營 中 ， 到 了 帳 幕 ， 將 帳 幕 撞 倒 ， 帳 幕 就 翻 轉 傾 覆 了 。

14 那 同 伴 說 ： 這 不 是 別 的 ， 乃 是 以 色 列 人 約 阿 施 的 兒 子 基 甸 的 刀 ； 　 神 已 將 米 甸 和 全 軍 都 交 在 他 的 手 中 。
