7 然 而 你 們 沒 有 聽 從 我 ， 竟 以 手 所 做 的 惹 我 發 怒 ， 陷 害 自 己 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。

Jeremiah 25:7

Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the Lord
Though it was he that spake unto them by his prophets; and though it was so much to their own good and advantage; and the neglect of him and his word were so much to their disadvantage, and even ruin: that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, to
your own hurt:
which, though not signed to do either, yet eventually did both; both provoked the Lord, and brought destruction upon themselves; for whatever is against the glory of God is to the hurt of man; and whatever provokes him is pernicious to them in its consequences.

5 說 ： 你 們 各 人 當 回 頭 ， 離 開 惡 道 和 所 作 的 惡 ， 便 可 居 住 耶 和 華 古 時 所 賜 給 你 們 和 你 們 列 祖 之 地 ， 直 到 永 遠 。

6 不 可 隨 從 別 　 神 事 奉 敬 拜 ， 以 你 們 手 所 作 的 惹 我 發 怒 ； 這 樣 ， 我 就 不 加 害 與 你 們 。

7 然 而 你 們 沒 有 聽 從 我 ， 竟 以 手 所 做 的 惹 我 發 怒 ， 陷 害 自 己 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。

8 所 以 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 因 為 你 們 沒 有 聽 從 我 的 話 ，

9 我 必 召 北 方 的 眾 族 和 我 僕 人 巴 比 倫 王 尼 布 甲 尼 撒 來 攻 擊 這 地 和 這 地 的 居 民 ， 並 四 圍 一 切 的 國 民 。 我 要 將 他 們 盡 行 滅 絕 ， 以 致 他 們 令 人 驚 駭 、 嗤 笑 ， 並 且 永 久 荒 涼 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。
