14 耶 和 華 說 ： 日 子 將 到 ， 我 應 許 以 色 列 家 和 猶 大 家 的 恩 言 必 然 成 就 。

Jeremiah 33:14

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord
Or, "are coming" {t}; future times are respected; yet such as would quickly come; five or six hundred years more, and then would be fulfilled what is after promised. This is ushered in with a "behold", as being a matter of importance, and deserving attention, and even as calling for admiration. This is the principal of the great and mighty things the Lord promised to show to the prophet, ( Jeremiah 33:3 ) ; even the coming of the Messiah, and what concerns his person and office: that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the
house of Israel and to the house of Judah;
or, "that good word" ^F21; that gracious word concerning Christ and salvation by him; that mercy promised to the fathers; that good thing that came out of Nazareth: the good Shepherd that laid down his life for the sheep, preferable to the shepherds before spoken of: or rather, "that best word" ^F23; the positive used for the superlative, as frequent in the Hebrew language. Many good words or promises are made before, concerning the spiritual welfare and prosperity of the church; but this is the best of all; this is the better thing provided for saints under the Gospel dispensation, and promised to them, who are meant by the houses of Judah and Israel; for these phrases, as the Jews themselves allow, show that the words belong to the times of the Messiah; and which God, that is true and cannot lie, and who is faithful, that has promised, and is able to perform, will do.

12 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 在 這 荒 廢 無 人 民 無 牲 畜 之 地 ， 並 其 中 所 有 的 城 邑 ， 必 再 有 牧 人 的 住 處 ； 他 們 要 使 羊 群 躺 臥 在 那 裡 。

13 在 山 地 的 城 邑 、 高 原 的 城 邑 、 南 地 的 城 邑 、 便 雅 憫 地 、 耶 路 撒 冷 四 圍 的 各 處 ， 和 猶 大 的 城 邑 必 再 有 羊 群 從 數 點 的 人 手 下 經 過 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。

15 當 那 日 子 ， 那 時 候 ， 我 必 使 大 衛 公 義 的 苗 裔 長 起 來 ； 他 必 在 地 上 施 行 公 平 和 公 義 。

16 在 那 日 子 猶 大 必 得 救 ， 耶 路 撒 冷 必 安 然 居 住 ， 他 的 名 必 稱 為 耶 和 華 ─ 我 們 的 義 。
