20 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 你 們 若 能 廢 棄 我 所 立 白 日 黑 夜 的 約 ， 使 白 日 黑 夜 不 按 時 輪 轉 ，

Jeremiah 33:20

Thus saith the Lord, if you can break my covenant of the day,
and my covenant of the night
The same with the ordinances of the sun, moon, and stars, ( Jeremiah 31:35 Jeremiah 31:36 ) ; the original constitution and law of nature, settled from the beginning of the world, and observed ever since, in the constant revolution of day and night; and which was formed into a covenant and promise to Noah, after the deluge, that day and night should not cease, as long as the earth remained, ( Genesis 8:22 ) ; and which has never been, nor can be, broken and made void: so that there should not be day and night in their season;
or turn; continually succeeding each other: this, as it would not be attempted, so could never be effected by any mortals, if it were.

18 祭 司 、 利 未 人 在 我 面 前 也 不 斷 人 獻 燔 祭 、 燒 素 祭 ， 時 常 辦 理 獻 祭 的 事 。

19 耶 和 華 的 話 臨 到 耶 利 米 說 ：

20 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 你 們 若 能 廢 棄 我 所 立 白 日 黑 夜 的 約 ， 使 白 日 黑 夜 不 按 時 輪 轉 ，

21 就 能 廢 棄 我 與 我 僕 人 大 衛 所 立 的 約 ， 使 他 沒 有 兒 子 在 他 的 寶 座 上 為 王 ， 並 能 廢 棄 我 與 事 奉 我 的 祭 司 、 利 未 人 所 立 的 約 。

22 天 上 的 萬 象 不 能 數 算 ， 海 邊 的 塵 沙 也 不 能 斗 量 ； 我 必 照 樣 使 我 僕 人 大 衛 的 後 裔 和 事 奉 我 的 利 未 人 多 起 來 。
