16 凡 製 造 偶 像 的 都 必 抱 愧 蒙 羞 ， 都 要 一 同 歸 於 慚 愧 。

Isaiah 45:16

They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them
This refers not to any persons spoken of before; not to Israel or the church, or converts among the Gentiles that came to her; but to those that follow, of whom the same is said in other words: they shall go to confusion together, that are makers of idols;
the Targum is,

``worshippers of images;''

both may be designed: this refers to the first times of the Gospel, and its coming into the Gentile world, and its success there; when the oracles of the Heathens were struck dumb; idols and idol temples were forsaken; and Paganism was abolished in the Roman empire; and when the gods they served could not help them, but they fled to the rocks to hide them from the wrath of God and the Lamb, ( Revelation 6:15-17 ) .

17 惟 有 以 色 列 必 蒙 耶 和 華 的 拯 救 ， 得 永 遠 的 救 恩 。 你 們 必 不 蒙 羞 ， 也 不 抱 愧 ， 直 到 永 世 無 盡 。

18 創 造 諸 天 的 耶 和 華 ， 製 造 成 全 大 地 的 　 神 ， 他 創 造 堅 定 大 地 ， 並 非 使 地 荒 涼 ， 是 要 給 人 居 住 。 他 如 此 說 ： 我 是 耶 和 華 ， 再 沒 有 別 神 。
