Isaiah 51:21

Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted
By Babylon, by antichrist and his followers; hear, for thy comfort, the following prophecy: and drunken, but not with wine;
not with wine in a literal sense; nor with the wine of the fornication of the whore of Rome; nor with idolatry, as the kings of the earth are said to be, ( Revelation 17:2 ) ( 18:3 ) but, as the Targum expresses it, with tribulation; with afflictions at the hand of God, and persecutions from men.

19 荒 涼 、 毀 滅 、 饑 荒 、 刀 兵 ， 這 幾 樣 臨 到 你 ， 誰 為 你 舉 哀 ？ 我 如 何 能 安 慰 你 呢 ？

20 你 的 眾 子 發 昏 ， 在 各 市 口 上 躺 臥 ， 好 像 黃 羊 在 網 羅 之 中 ， 都 滿 了 耶 和 華 的 忿 怒 ─ 你 　 神 的 斥 責 。

21 因 此 ， 你 這 困 苦 卻 非 因 酒 而 醉 的 ， 要 聽 我 言 。

22 你 的 主 耶 和 華 ─ 就 是 為 他 百 姓 辨 屈 的 　 神 如 此 說 ： 看 哪 ， 我 已 將 那 使 人 東 倒 西 歪 的 杯 ， 就 是 我 忿 怒 的 爵 ， 從 你 手 中 接 過 來 ； 你 必 不 致 再 喝 。

23 我 必 將 這 杯 遞 在 苦 待 你 的 人 手 中 ； 他 們 曾 對 你 說 ： 你 屈 身 ， 由 我 們 踐 踏 過 去 罷 ！ 你 便 以 背 為 地 ， 好 像 街 市 ， 任 人 經 過 。
