39 他 們 殺 了 兒 女 獻 與 偶 像 ， 當 天 又 入 我 的 聖 所 ， 將 聖 所 褻 瀆 了 。 他 們 在 我 殿 中 所 行 的 乃 是 如 此 。

Ezekiel 23:39

For when they had slain their children to their idols
This explains more clearly what is before said, that by causing their children to pass through the fire was a slaying them; and that their passing through it "for them" was for their idols, and unto them; see ( Ezekiel 23:37 ) , and how when they had been guilty of such shocking wickedness, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it;
not that they came into the temple on purpose to profane it; but coming into it, being themselves defiled with the murder of their infants, and offering sacrifices to idols, or performing a hypocritical service to the Lord, this was in the event a profanation of the sanctuary: and, lo, thus they have done in the midst of mine house;
set up idols there, and worshipped them; as they did in the temple itself, in the times of Ahaz and Manasseh; see ( Jeremiah 7:30 ) .

40 況 且 你 們 二 婦 打 發 使 者 去 請 遠 方 人 。 使 者 到 他 們 那 裡 ， 他 們 就 來 了 。 你 們 為 他 們 沐 浴 己 身 ， 粉 飾 眼 目 ， 佩 戴 妝 飾 ，

41 坐 在 華 美 的 床 上 ， 前 面 擺 設 桌 案 ， 將 我 的 香 料 膏 油 擺 在 其 上 。
