Mǎkĕfúyīn 1:1-13

1 Shén de érzi , Yēsū Jīdū Fúyin de qǐtóu ,
2 Zhēng rú xiānzhī Yǐsaìyàshū shang jì zhe shuō , ( yǒu gǔ juàn wú Yǐsaìyà sān zì ) kàn nǎ , wǒ yào chāiqiǎn wǒde shǐzhĕ zaì nǐ miànqián , yùbeì dàolù .
3 Zaì kuàngyĕ yǒu rén shēng hǎn zhe shuō , yùbeì zhǔ de dào , xiū zhí tāde lù .
4 Zhào zhè huà , Yuēhàn lái le , zaì kuàngyĕ shīxǐ , chuán huǐgǎi de xǐlǐ , shǐ zuì dé shè .
5 Yóutaì quán dì , hé Yēlùsǎlĕng de rén , dōu chū qù dào Yuēhàn nàli , chéngrèn tāmende zuì , zaì Yuēdànhé lǐ shòu tāde xǐ .
6 Yuēhàn chuān luòtuo maó de yīfu , yào shù pí daì , chī de shì huángchóng yĕ mì .
7 Tā chuán dào shuō , yǒu yī wèi zaì wǒ yǐhòu lái de , nénglì bǐ wǒ gèng dà , wǒ jiù shì wān yào gĕi tā jiĕ xiédaì , yĕ shì bú peì de .
8 Wǒ shì yòng shuǐ gĕi nǐmen shīxǐ , tā què yào yòng Shènglíng gĕi nǐmen shīxǐ .
9 Nàshí , Yēsū cóng Jiālìlì de Násǎlè lái , zaì Yuēdànhé lǐ shòu le Yuēhàn de xǐ .
10 Tā cóng shuǐ lǐ yī shang lái , jiù kànjian tiān liè kāi le , Shènglíng fǎngfú gēzi , jiàng zaì tā shēnshang .
11 Yòu yǒu shēngyīn cóng tiān shang lái shuō , nǐ shì wǒde aì zǐ , wǒ xǐyuè nǐ .
12 Shènglíng jiù bǎ Yēsū cuī dào kuàngyĕ lǐ qù .
13 Tā zaì kuàngyĕ sì shí tiān shòu Sādàn de shìtan . bìng yǔ yĕshòu tóng zaì yī chù . qiĕ yǒu tiānshǐ lái cìhou tā .

Mǎkĕfúyīn 1:1-13 Meaning and Commentary

INTRODUCTION TO MARK

This is the title of the book, the subject of which is the Gospel; a joyful account of the ministry, miracles, actions, and sufferings of Christ: the writer of it was not one of the twelve apostles, but an evangelist; the same with John Mark, or John, whose surname was Mark: John was his Hebrew name, and Mark his Gentile name, Ac 12:12,25, and was Barnabas's sister's son, Col 4:10, his mother's name was Mary, Ac 12:12. The Apostle Peter calls him his son, 1Pe 5:13, if he is the same; and he is thought to have wrote his Gospel from him {a}, and by his order, and which was afterwards examined and approved by him {b} it is said to have been wrote originally in Latin, or in the Roman tongue: so say the Arabic and Persic versions at the beginning of it, and the Syriac version says the same at the end: but of this there is no evidence, any more, nor so much, as of Matthew's writing his Gospel in Hebrew. The old Latin copy of this, is a version from the Greek; it is most likely that it was originally written in Greek, as the rest of the New Testament.
