Genesis 44:30

Now therefore, when I come to thy servant my father
That is, should he return to him in the land of Canaan with the rest of his brethren: and the lad [be] not with us;
his brother Benjamin, so called here, and in the following verses, though thirty years of age and upwards, see ( Genesis 43:8 ) ; seeing that his life is bound up in the lad's life;
he is as closely united to him in affection, and is as dear to him as his own soul; quite wrapped up in him, and cannot live without him; should he die, he must die too; see ( 1 Samuel 18:1 ) ; so it follows:

28 一 个 离 开 我 出 去 了 ； 我 说 他 必 是 被 撕 碎 了 ， 直 到 如 今 我 也 没 有 见 他 。

29 现 在 你 们 又 要 把 这 个 带 去 离 开 我 ， 倘 若 他 遭 害 ， 那 便 是 你 们 使 我 白 发 苍 苍 、 悲 悲 惨 惨 地 下 阴 间 去 了 。

30 我 父 亲 的 命 与 这 童 子 的 命 相 连 。 如 今 我 回 到 你 仆 人 ─ 我 父 亲 那 里 ， 若 没 有 童 子 与 我 们 同 在 ，

31 我 们 的 父 亲 见 没 有 童 子 ， 他 就 必 死 。 这 便 是 我 们 使 你 仆 人 ─ 我 们 的 父 亲 白 发 苍 苍 、 悲 悲 惨 惨 地 下 阴 间 去 了 。

32 因 为 仆 人 曾 向 我 父 亲 为 这 童 子 作 保 ， 说 ： 我 若 不 带 他 回 来 交 给 父 亲 ， 我 便 在 父 亲 面 前 永 远 担 罪 。
