5 耶 和 华 赐 我 许 多 儿 子 ， 在 我 儿 子 中 拣 选 所 罗 门 坐 耶 和 华 的 国 位 ， 治 理 以 色 列 人 。

1 Chronicles 28:5

And of all my sons, for the Lord hath given me many sons
Whose names, and the order of their birth, may be read in ( 1 Chronicles 3:1-9 )

he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of
the Lord over Israel;
to be his successor in it: this he says to observe to them, that this was not merely his own will and choice, nor the fruit and effect of a fond affection to Solomon; nor was it barely in pursuance of a promise made to Bathsheba, she had obtained of him; but it was according to the will and appointment of God, and therefore to be the more regarded.

3 只 是 　 神 对 我 说 ： 你 不 可 为 我 的 名 建 造 殿 宇 ； 因 你 是 战 士 ， 流 了 人 的 血 。

4 然 而 ， 耶 和 华 ─ 以 色 列 的 　 神 在 我 父 的 全 家 拣 选 我 作 以 色 列 的 王 ， 直 到 永 远 。 因 他 拣 选 犹 大 为 首 领 ； 在 犹 大 支 派 中 拣 选 我 父 家 ， 在 我 父 的 众 子 里 喜 悦 我 ， 立 我 作 以 色 列 众 人 的 王 。

6 耶 和 华 对 我 说 ： 你 儿 子 所 罗 门 必 建 造 我 的 殿 和 院 宇 ； 因 为 我 拣 选 他 作 我 的 子 ， 我 也 必 作 他 的 父 。

7 他 若 恒 久 遵 行 我 的 诫 命 典 章 如 今 日 一 样 ， 我 就 必 坚 定 他 的 国 位 ， 直 到 永 远 。
