17 耶 罗 波 安 的 妻 起 身 回 去 ， 到 了 得 撒 ， 刚 到 门 槛 ， 儿 子 就 死 了 。

1 Kings 14:17

And Jeroboam's wife arose, and departed,
&e.] Upon this speech of the prophet's to her:

and came to Tirzah;
where Jeroboam now had his court, and where their son now was; it was a royal city in the time of the Canaanites, and is commonly placed in the tribe of Manasseh, and was a very pleasant one, as its name signifies, to which there is an allusion, ( Song of Solomon 6:4 ) , (See Gill on Joshua 12:24),

and when she came to the threshold of the door, the child died:
just as she was about to step over the threshold of the royal palace, which seems to have been at the entering of the city of Tirzah, ( 1 Kings 14:12 ) .

18 以 色 列 众 人 将 他 葬 埋 ， 为 他 哀 哭 ， 正 如 耶 和 华 藉 他 仆 人 先 知 亚 希 雅 所 说 的 话 。

19 耶 罗 波 安 其 馀 的 事 ， 他 怎 样 争 战 ， 怎 样 作 王 ， 都 写 在 以 色 列 诸 王 记 上 。
