7 信 一 到 ， 他 们 就 把 王 的 七 十 个 儿 子 杀 了 ， 将 首 级 装 在 筐 里 ， 送 到 在 耶 斯 列 的 耶 户 那 里 。

2 Kings 10:7

And it came to pass, when the letter came to them
They did not in the least hesitate, but immediately complied with the contents of it:

that they took the king's sons, and slew seventy persons;
which was the whole number of them:

and put their heads in baskets, and sent them to Jezreel;
as a present to Jehu, just as they carried the firstfruits, as Abarbinel observes.

5 家 宰 、 邑 宰 ， 和 长 老 ， 并 教 养 众 子 的 人 ， 打 发 人 去 见 耶 户 ， 说 ： 我 们 是 你 的 仆 人 ， 凡 你 所 吩 咐 我 们 的 都 必 遵 行 ， 我 们 不 立 谁 作 王 ， 你 看 怎 样 好 就 怎 样 行 。

6 耶 户 又 给 他 们 写 信 说 ： 你 们 若 归 顺 我 ， 听 从 我 的 话 ， 明 日 这 时 候 ， 要 将 你 们 主 人 众 子 的 首 级 带 到 耶 斯 列 来 见 我 。 那 时 王 的 儿 子 七 十 人 都 住 在 教 养 他 们 那 城 中 的 尊 贵 人 家 里 。

7 信 一 到 ， 他 们 就 把 王 的 七 十 个 儿 子 杀 了 ， 将 首 级 装 在 筐 里 ， 送 到 在 耶 斯 列 的 耶 户 那 里 。

8 有 使 者 来 告 诉 耶 户 说 ： 他 们 将 王 众 子 的 首 级 送 来 了 。 耶 户 说 ： 将 首 级 在 城 门 口 堆 作 两 堆 ， 搁 到 明 日 。

9 次 日 早 晨 ， 耶 户 出 来 ， 站 着 对 众 民 说 ： 你 们 都 是 公 义 的 ， 我 背 叛 我 主 人 ， 将 他 杀 了 ； 这 些 人 却 是 谁 杀 的 呢 ？
