2 Kings 13:4

And Jehoahaz besought the Lord, and the Lord hearkened unto
him
He did not apply in his distress to the calves he worshipped, but to the Lord; who had a regard to his prayer, not for his sake, or any righteousness of his, or even his repentance and humiliation, which were only external; but for the sake of Israel, and because they were oppressed, who were his people, and he their God, though they had sadly departed from him:

for he saw the oppression of Israel;
not only with his eye of omniscience, but with an eye of mercy and compassion:

because the king of Syria oppressed them;
by his incursions upon them, and wars with them.

2 约 哈 斯 行 耶 和 华 眼 中 看 为 恶 的 事 ， 效 法 尼 八 的 儿 子 耶 罗 波 安 使 以 色 列 人 陷 在 罪 里 的 那 罪 ， 总 不 离 开 。

3 於 是 ， 耶 和 华 的 怒 气 向 以 色 列 人 发 作 ， 将 他 们 屡 次 交 在 亚 兰 王 哈 薛 和 他 儿 子 便 哈 达 的 手 里 。

4 约 哈 斯 恳 求 耶 和 华 ， 耶 和 华 就 应 允 他 ， 因 为 见 以 色 列 人 所 受 亚 兰 王 的 欺 压 。

5 耶 和 华 赐 给 以 色 列 人 一 位 拯 救 者 ， 使 他 们 脱 离 亚 兰 人 的 手 ； 於 是 以 色 列 人 仍 旧 安 居 在 家 里 。

6 然 而 他 们 不 离 开 耶 罗 波 安 家 使 以 色 列 人 陷 在 罪 里 的 那 罪 ， 仍 然 去 行 ， 并 且 在 撒 玛 利 亚 留 下 亚 舍 拉 。
