And he killed it
That is, Moses killed the ram, as the Septuagint version expresses it:

and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about;
as he did the blood of the bullock, ( Leviticus 8:15 ) .

17 惟 有 公 牛 ， 连 皮 带 肉 并 粪 ， 用 火 烧 在 营 外 ， 都 是 照 耶 和 华 所 吩 咐 摩 西 的 。

18 他 奉 上 燔 祭 的 公 绵 羊 ； 亚 伦 和 他 儿 子 按 手 在 羊 的 头 上 ，

19 就 宰 了 公 羊 。 摩 西 把 血 ? 在 坛 的 周 围 ，

20 把 羊 切 成 块 子 ， 把 头 和 肉 块 并 脂 油 都 烧 了 。

21 用 水 洗 了 脏 腑 和 腿 ， 就 把 全 羊 烧 在 坛 上 为 馨 香 的 燔 祭 ， 是 献 给 耶 和 华 的 火 祭 ， 都 是 照 耶 和 华 所 吩 咐 摩 西 的 。
