13 所 以 我 使 百 姓 各 按 宗 族 拿 刀 、 拿 枪 、 拿 弓 站 在 城 墙 後 边 低 洼 的 空 处 。

Nehemiah 4:13

Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall
Where the wall was lowest, and the enemy could more easily break it down, or get over it:

and on the higher places;
where the wall was higher; or rather on the towers upon the walls, as the word signifies the tops of rocks, which are dry and smooth, see ( Ezekiel 24:2 Ezekiel 24:8 ) .

I even set the people after their families;
according to their rank, number, strength, and valour:

with their swords, their spears, and their bows;
with weapons they could use both near, and at a distance.

11 我 们 的 敌 人 且 说 ： 趁 他 们 不 知 不 见 ， 我 们 进 入 他 们 中 间 ， 杀 他 们 ， 使 工 作 止 住 。

12 那 靠 近 敌 人 居 住 的 犹 大 人 十 次 从 各 处 来 见 我 们 ， 说 ： 你 们 必 要 回 到 我 们 那 里 。

13 所 以 我 使 百 姓 各 按 宗 族 拿 刀 、 拿 枪 、 拿 弓 站 在 城 墙 後 边 低 洼 的 空 处 。

14 我 察 看 了 ， 就 起 来 对 贵 胄 、 官 长 ， 和 其 馀 的 人 说 ： 不 要 怕 他 们 ！ 当 记 念 主 是 大 而 可 畏 的 。 你 们 要 为 弟 兄 、 儿 女 、 妻 子 、 家 产 争 战 。

15 仇 敌 听 见 我 们 知 道 他 们 的 心 意 ， 见 　 神 也 破 坏 他 们 的 计 谋 ， 就 不 来 了 。 我 们 都 回 到 城 墙 那 里 ， 各 做 各 的 工 。
