1 Samuel 15:2

Thus saith the Lord of hosts
Of the celestial host of angels, and of the army of Israel, yea, of all the armies of the earth: this is premised to engage the attention of Saul:

I remember that which Amalek did to Israel;
four hundred years ago:

how he laid wait for him in the way when he came up from Egypt;
in the valley of Rephidim, just before they came to Mount Sinai, and fell upon the rear of them, and smote the feeble, and faint, and weary, see ( Exodus 17:8 ) ( Deuteronomy 25:17-19 )

1 撒 母 耳 对 扫 罗 说 ： 耶 和 华 差 遣 我 膏 你 为 王 ， 治 理 他 的 百 姓 以 色 列 ； 所 以 你 当 听 从 耶 和 华 的 话 。

2 万 军 之 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ： 以 色 列 人 出 埃 及 的 时 候 ， 在 路 上 亚 玛 力 人 怎 样 待 他 们 ， 怎 样 抵 挡 他 们 ， 我 都 没 忘 。

3 现 在 你 要 去 击 打 亚 玛 力 人 ， 灭 尽 他 们 所 有 的 ， 不 可 怜 惜 他 们 ， 将 男 女 、 孩 童 、 吃 奶 的 ， 并 牛 、 羊 、 骆 驼 ， 和 驴 尽 行 杀 死 。

4 於 是 扫 罗 招 聚 百 姓 在 提 拉 因 ， 数 点 他 们 ， 共 有 步 兵 二 十 万 ， 另 有 犹 大 人 一 万 。

5 扫 罗 到 了 亚 玛 力 的 京 城 ， 在 谷 中 设 下 埋 伏 。
