12 耶 和 华 从 火 焰 中 对 你 们 说 话 ， 你 们 只 听 见 声 音 ， 却 没 有 看 见 形 像 。

Deuteronomy 4:12

And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire
For the Lord descended on Mount Sinai in a cloud, in fire, and was in the thick darkness, from whence he delivered out the ten commands:

ye heard the voice of the words;
distinctly and plainly, not only the sound of them, but the words themselves, and so as to understand what was meant by them;

but saw no similitude;
not any likeness of the person speaking, by which they could form any idea of him in their minds, which was purposely done to prevent idolatry:

only ye heard a voice;
that was all.

10 你 在 何 烈 山 站 在 耶 和 华 ─ 你 　 神 面 前 的 那 日 ， 耶 和 华 对 我 说 ： 你 为 我 招 聚 百 姓 ， 我 要 叫 他 们 听 见 我 的 话 ， 使 他 们 存 活 在 世 的 日 子 ， 可 以 学 习 敬 畏 我 ， 又 可 以 教 训 儿 女 这 样 行 。

11 那 时 你 们 近 前 来 ， 站 在 山 下 ； 山 上 有 火 焰 冲 天 ， 并 有 昏 黑 、 密 云 、 幽 暗 。

12 耶 和 华 从 火 焰 中 对 你 们 说 话 ， 你 们 只 听 见 声 音 ， 却 没 有 看 见 形 像 。

13 他 将 所 吩 咐 你 们 当 守 的 约 指 示 你 们 ， 就 是 十 条 诫 ， 并 将 这 诫 写 在 两 块 石 版 上 。

14 那 时 耶 和 华 又 吩 咐 我 将 律 例 典 章 教 训 你 们 ， 使 你 们 在 所 要 过 去 得 为 业 的 地 上 遵 行 。
