37 因 他 们 的 心 向 他 不 正 ， 在 他 的 约 上 也 不 忠 心 。

Psalms 78:37

For their heart was not right with him
Neither prepared and ready to any good work, but reprobate thereunto; nor steady, fixed, and established, as a good man's heart is, trusting in the Lord; but wavering, fickle, and inconstant; nor true, faithful, and upright; but turning aside like a deceitful bow, as is afterwards said, ( Psalms 78:57 ) ,

neither were they steadfast in his covenant;
which was made with them at Sinai, though they promised to be obedient, and to do all the Lord said unto them; but this covenant they broke, though he were an husband to them; see ( Exodus 24:7 ) ( Jeremiah 31:32 ) .

35 他 们 也 追 念 　 神 是 他 们 的 磐 石 ， 至 高 的 神 是 他 们 的 救 赎 主 。

36 他 们 却 用 口 谄 媚 他 ， 用 舌 向 他 说 谎 。

37 因 他 们 的 心 向 他 不 正 ， 在 他 的 约 上 也 不 忠 心 。

38 但 他 有 怜 悯 ， 赦 免 他 们 的 罪 孽 ， 不 灭 绝 他 们 ， 而 且 屡 次 消 他 的 怒 气 ， 不 发 尽 他 的 忿 怒 。

39 他 想 到 他 们 不 过 是 血 气 ， 是 一 阵 去 而 不 返 的 风 。
