Acts 11:16

Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said,
&c.] Just before his ascension, ( Acts 1:5 ) .

John indeed baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized with the Holy
Ghost;
as they were on the day of Pentecost, and as now Cornelius and his family were; and since they had the greater baptism, the baptism of the Spirit, the lesser baptism of water could not be denied them.

14 他 有 话 告 诉 你 ， 可 以 叫 你 和 你 的 全 家 得 救 。

15 我 一 开 讲 ， 圣 灵 便 降 在 他 们 身 上 ， 正 像 当 初 降 在 我 们 身 上 一 样 。

16 我 就 想 起 主 的 话 说 ： 约 翰 是 用 水 施 洗 ， 但 你 们 要 受 圣 灵 的 洗 。

17 神 既 然 给 他 们 恩 赐 ， 像 在 我 们 信 主 耶 稣 基 督 的 时 候 给 了 我 们 一 样 ； 我 是 谁 ， 能 拦 阻 神 呢 ！

18 众 人 听 见 这 话 ， 就 不 言 语 了 ， 只 归 荣 耀 与 神 ， 说 ： 这 样 看 来 ， 神 也 赐 恩 给 外 邦 人 ， 叫 他 们 悔 改 得 生 命 了 。
