13 只 是 百 姓 众 多 ， 又 逢 大 雨 的 时 令 ， 我 们 不 能 站 在 外 头 ， 这 也 不 是 一 两 天 办 完 的 事 ， 因 我 们 在 这 事 上 犯 了 大 罪 ；

Ezra 10:13

But the people are many
Who have been guilty of this evil:

and it is a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without:
in the street, because of the rain:

neither is this a work of one day or two;
to inquire into this affair, who they are that have taken strange wives, and to persuade or oblige them to put them away:

for we are many that have transgressed in this thing;
in marrying strange wives.

11 现 在 当 向 耶 和 华 ─ 你 们 列 祖 的 　 神 认 罪 ， 遵 行 他 的 旨 意 ， 离 绝 这 些 国 的 民 和 外 邦 的 女 子 。 」

12 会 众 都 大 声 回 答 说 ： 我 们 必 照 着 你 的 话 行 ，

13 只 是 百 姓 众 多 ， 又 逢 大 雨 的 时 令 ， 我 们 不 能 站 在 外 头 ， 这 也 不 是 一 两 天 办 完 的 事 ， 因 我 们 在 这 事 上 犯 了 大 罪 ；

14 不 如 为 全 会 众 派 首 领 办 理 。 凡 我 们 城 邑 中 娶 外 邦 女 子 为 妻 的 ， 当 按 所 定 的 日 期 ， 同 着 本 城 的 长 老 和 士 师 而 来 ， 直 到 办 完 这 事 ， 　 神 的 烈 怒 就 转 离 我 们 了 。 」

15 惟 有 亚 撒 黑 的 儿 子 约 拿 单 ， 特 瓦 的 儿 子 雅 哈 谢 阻 挡 （ 或 译 ： 总 办 ） 这 事 ， 并 有 米 书 兰 和 利 未 人 沙 比 太 帮 助 他 们 。
