25 我 还 与 你 们 同 住 的 时 候 ， 已 将 这 些 话 对 你 们 说 了 。

John 14:25

These things have I spoken unto you
Concerning his Father, and his Father's house, and the way to both; concerning his being in the father, and the Father in him; concerning keeping his commandments, and the advantages and benefits following upon it:

being,
says he,

[yet] present with you;
which is a strong intimation that in a little time he should not be present with them; and that whilst he was present with them, he was desirous of saying such things to them in a brief compendious manner, as they were able to bear; which might be of future use and instruction to them.

23 耶 稣 回 答 说 ： 人 若 爱 我 ， 就 必 遵 守 我 的 道 ； 我 父 也 必 爱 他 ， 并 且 我 们 要 到 他 那 里 去 ， 与 他 同 住 。

24 不 爱 我 的 人 就 不 遵 守 我 的 道 。 你 们 所 听 见 的 道 不 是 我 的 ， 乃 是 差 我 来 之 父 的 道 。

25 我 还 与 你 们 同 住 的 时 候 ， 已 将 这 些 话 对 你 们 说 了 。

26 但 保 惠 师 ， 就 是 父 因 我 的 名 所 要 差 来 的 圣 灵 ， 他 要 将 一 切 的 事 指 教 你 们 ， 并 且 要 叫 你 们 想 起 我 对 你 们 所 说 的 一 切 话 。

27 我 留 下 平 安 给 你 们 ； 我 将 我 的 平 安 赐 给 你 们 。 我 所 赐 的 ， 不 像 世 人 所 赐 的 。 你 们 心 里 不 要 忧 愁 ， 也 不 要 胆 怯 。
