29 现 在 事 情 还 没 有 成 就 ， 我 预 先 告 诉 你 们 ， 叫 你 们 到 事 情 成 就 的 时 候 就 可 以 信 。

John 14:29

And now I have told you before it came to pass
This is a strong proof of his true and proper deity, for none but the omniscient God can tell of things before they come to pass; this is peculiar to him, and distinguishes him from the gods of the Gentiles; see ( Isaiah 41:22 Isaiah 41:23 ) ( 45:21 ) ( Isaiah 46:9 Isaiah 46:10 ) ;

that when it is come to pass, ye might believe:
that is, that when he was removed from them, and gone to his Father, they might then believe that he was truly God, the Son of God, the promised Messiah; and that he was then in glory, and at the right hand of God.

27 我 留 下 平 安 给 你 们 ； 我 将 我 的 平 安 赐 给 你 们 。 我 所 赐 的 ， 不 像 世 人 所 赐 的 。 你 们 心 里 不 要 忧 愁 ， 也 不 要 胆 怯 。

28 你 们 听 见 我 对 你 们 说 了 ， 我 去 还 要 到 你 们 这 里 来 。 你 们 若 爱 我 ， 因 我 到 父 那 里 去 ， 就 必 喜 乐 ， 因 为 父 是 比 我 大 的 。

29 现 在 事 情 还 没 有 成 就 ， 我 预 先 告 诉 你 们 ， 叫 你 们 到 事 情 成 就 的 时 候 就 可 以 信 。

30 以 後 我 不 再 和 你 们 多 说 话 ， 因 为 这 世 界 的 王 将 到 。 他 在 我 里 面 是 毫 无 所 有 ；

31 但 要 叫 世 人 知 道 我 爱 父 ， 并 且 父 怎 样 吩 咐 我 ， 我 就 怎 样 行 。 起 来 ， 我 们 走 罢 ！
