30 祭 司 非 尼 哈 与 会 中 的 首 领 ， 就 是 与 他 同 来 以 色 列 军 中 的 统 领 ， 听 见 流 便 人 、 迦 得 人 、 玛 拿 西 人 所 说 的 话 ， 就 都 以 为 美 。

Joshua 22:30

And when Phinehas the priest
For he was, being the son of Eleazar the high priest, so the word "priest", ( Joshua 22:13 ) ; is to be joined, not to Eleazar but to Phinehas:

and the princes of the congregation;
the ten princes, who were sent by the congregation of Israel, one out of each tribe:

and heads out of the thousands of Israel;
these are the same with the princes, and this belongs to their title, who were heads of the Chiliarchs, or those who were rulers of thousands in Israel:

which [were] with him;
with Phinehas, who were joined with him in the embassy, and now present with him:

heard the words that the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad,
and the children of Manasseh; spake;
in defence of themselves, explaining the meaning and design of the altar they had built:

it pleased them;
they were not only satisfied with their answer, but highly delighted with what they had done, as tending to preserve the common faith and fellowship of Israel.

28 所 以 我 们 说 ： 日 後 你 们 对 我 们 ， 或 对 我 们 的 後 人 这 样 说 ， 我 们 就 可 以 回 答 说 ， 你 们 看 我 们 列 祖 所 筑 的 坛 是 耶 和 华 坛 的 样 式 ； 这 并 不 是 为 献 燔 祭 ， 也 不 是 为 献 别 的 祭 ， 乃 是 为 作 你 我 中 间 的 证 据 。

29 我 们 在 耶 和 华 ─ 我 们 　 神 帐 幕 前 的 坛 以 外 ， 另 筑 一 座 坛 ， 为 献 燔 祭 、 素 祭 ， 和 别 的 祭 ， 悖 逆 耶 和 华 ， 今 日 转 去 不 跟 从 他 ， 我 们 断 没 有 这 个 意 思 。

31 祭 司 以 利 亚 撒 的 儿 子 非 尼 哈 对 流 便 人 、 迦 得 人 、 玛 拿 西 人 说 ： 今 日 我 们 知 道 耶 和 华 在 我 们 中 间 ， 因 为 你 们 没 有 向 他 犯 了 这 罪 。 现 在 你 们 救 以 色 列 人 脱 离 耶 和 华 的 手 了 。

32 祭 司 以 利 亚 撒 的 儿 子 非 尼 哈 与 众 首 领 离 了 流 便 人 、 迦 得 人 ， 从 基 列 地 回 往 迦 南 地 ， 到 了 以 色 列 人 那 里 ， 便 将 这 事 回 报 他 们 。
