Elasah [N] [H] [S] One of the descendants of Judah, of the family of Hezron ( 1 Chronicles 2:39 , "Eleasah"). A descendant of king Saul ( 1 Chronicles 8:37 ; 9:43 ). The son of Shaphan, one of the two who were sent by Zedekiah to Nebuchadnezzar, and also took charge of Jeremiah's letter to the captives in Babylon ( Jeremiah 29:3 ).
