Shaalabbin [N]

or Shaal'bim, a place of foxes, a town of the tribe of Dan ( Joshua 19:42 ; Judges 1:35 ). It was one of the chief towns from which Solomon drew his supplies ( 1 Kings 4:9 ). It is probably the modern village of Selbit, 3 miles north of Ajalon.
