Jiphthah-el

Jiphthah-el

(which God opens ), The valley of, a valley which served as one of the landmarks for the boundary of both Zebulun, ( Joshua 19:14 ) and Asher. ( Joshua 19:27 ) Dr. Robinson suggests that Jiphthah-el was identical with Jotapata, and that they survive in the modern Jefat , a village in the mountains of Galilee, halfway between the Bay of Accre and the Lake of Gennesareth.
