Esra 2:3 Meaning and Commentary

Ver. 3-35. The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred and seventy
two.
] From hence, to the end of ( Ezra 2:35 ) , a list is given of the captives that returned, described by the families they were of, their ancestors from whence they sprung, or the towns and cities to which they originally belonged, and by their numbers; otherwise nothing more of them is known.

1 Und dies sind die Kinder der Landschaft Juda, welche aus der Gefangenschaft der Weggeführten, die Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, nach Babel weggeführt hatte, hinaufzogen, und die nach Jerusalem und Juda zurückkehrten, ein jeder in seine Stadt,
2 welche kamen mit Serubbabel, Jeschua, Nehemia, Seraja, Reelaja, Mordokai, Bilschan, Mispar, Bigwai, Rechum, Baana. Zahl der Männer des Volkes Israel:
3 Die Söhne Parhosch', zweitausend einhundertzweiundsiebzig.
4 Die Söhne Schephatjas, dreihundertzweiundsiebzig;
5 die Söhne Arachs, siebenhundertfünfundsiebzig;
