Acts 2:37-42

37 Now when ¹they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, ²what shall we do? ”

38 And Peter said to them, ³“Repent and ⁴be baptized every one of you ⁵in the name of Jesus Christ ⁶for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive ⁷the gift of the Holy Spirit.

39 For ⁸the promise is for you and ⁹for your children and for all ¹⁰who are far off, everyone ¹¹whom the Lord our God calls to himself. ”

40 And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, ¹²“Save yourselves from this ¹³crooked generation. ”

41 So those who received his word were baptized, and ¹⁴there were added that day about three thousand souls.

The Fellowship of the Believers

42 And ¹⁵they devoted themselves to the apostles’ ¹⁶teaching and the ¹⁷fellowship, to ¹⁸the breaking of bread and the prayers.
