What does the Bible say about the End Times?

Below you will find popular Bible verses about the end times, the last days of the earth. The study of end times theology is called "eschatology". While Revelations contains the most well-known passages in the Bible for studying the end times, there are many Old and New Testament passages that speak prophecy of the future events. We do not need to fear the End Times! We should study Bible prophecies so we can be prepared for the return of Christ.

There are three main events that make up the End Times: the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, and the Second Coming of Christ. It's important to remember that there are variety of ways to interpret the Scriptures on the End Times and that it's helpful to reference articles, commentaries, and sermons from pastors and teachers to grasp a better understanding of the last days. Scripture commands us: "But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people." (2 Timothy 3:1-5). As the difficult times of the last days approach, let us stay steadfast in devotion to God and His word. Mark 13:5-23

20 “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.
21 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it.
22 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
