Mark 5:21-34

Listen to Mark 5:21-34

Jesus Heals a Woman and Jairus’s Daughter

21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a great crowd gathered about him, and he was beside the sea.
22 1Then came one of 2the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and seeing him, he fell at his feet
23 and implored him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and 3lay your hands on her, so that she may be made well and live. ”
24 And he went with him. And a great crowd followed him and 4thronged about him.
25 And there was a woman 5who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years,
26 and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse.
27 She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment.
28 For she said, “If I touch even his garments, I will be made well. ”
29 6And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her 7disease.
30 And Jesus, perceiving in himself that 8power had gone out from him, immediately turned about in the crowd and said, “Who touched my garments? ”
31 And his disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing around you, and yet you say, ‘Who touched me? ’”
32 And he looked around to see who had done it.
33 But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before him and told him the whole truth.
34 And he said to her, “Daughter, 9your faith has made you well; 10go in peace, and be healed of your 11disease. ”

Whether it’s physical sickness, emotional sickness or spiritual sickness, we can all relate to the need for divine healing. In Mark chapter 5, we are introduced to the woman with the issue of blood. Her encounter with Jesus was life-changing. We can learn so much from her step of faith. In this message, Pastor Jeff Schreve shares three discoveries about this woman and how no matter how we feel, or what we are going through, we are never forgotten or unseen by our Heavenly Father.

Miracles were an everyday occurrence when Jesus walked the earth some 2000 years ago. He healed the sick, cleansed the leper, opened blind eyes and raised the dead. And guess what? He is still able to perform miracles of healing today. God is Jehovah Rapha, which means "the LORD, our Healer." In this powerful message, Pastor Jeff Schreve explains how the touch of faith gets the Lord's attention and brings healing from His hand into your life. This message is sure to provide hope and encouragement for those in need of God's miracle of healing. Included in this message is the powerful testimony of Jeff's wife, Debbie, who was miraculously healed in 2004.
