Jesus Heals a Boy with a Demon

1And when they came to the crowd, a man came up to him and, kneeling before him,
said, ā€œLord, have mercy on my son, for he is 2an epileptic and he suffers terribly. For often he falls into the fire, and often into the water.
And I brought him to your disciples, and 3they could not heal him. ā€
And Jesus answered, ā€œO faithless and 4twisted generation, how long am I to be with you? 5How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me. ā€
And Jesus 6rebuked the demon, [a] and it[b] came out of him, and 7the boy was healed instantly. [c]
Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, ā€œWhy could we not cast it out? ā€
He said to them, 8ā€œBecause of your little faith. For 9truly, I say to you, 10if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, 11you will say to this mountain, ā€˜Move from here to there, ’ and it will move, and 12nothing will be impossible for you. ā€ [d]
