Matthew 6:7-13

7 "And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as 1the Gentiles do, for 2they think that they will be heard 3for their many words.
8 Do not be like them, 4for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 5Pray then like this: 6"Our Father in heaven, 7hallowed be 8your name.[a]
10 9Your kingdom come, 10your will be done,[b] 11on earth as it is in heaven.
11 12Give us 13this day our daily bread,[c]
12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And 14lead us not into temptation, but 15deliver us from 16evil.[d]
