Psalms 82

Listen to Psalms 82
1God 2has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of 3the gods he 4holds judgment:
"How long will you judge unjustly and 5show partiality to 6the wicked? Selah
7Give justice to 8the weak and the fatherless; 9maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
10Rescue the weak and the needy; 11deliver them from the hand of the wicked."
12They have neither knowledge nor understanding, 13they walk about in darkness; 14all the foundations of the earth are 15shaken.
16I said, "You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;
nevertheless, like men 17you shall die, and fall like any prince."[a]
18Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall 19inherit all the nations!
