1 Chronicles 4:1

The sons of Judah: Pharez
The posterity of Judah in the line of Pharez, for he only is mentioned:

Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
Hezron was the son of Pharez, and Carmi is supposed to be Chelubai, or Caleb, the son of Hezron; and Hur the son of Caleb; and Shobal was the son of the second Caleb the son of Hur; see ( 1 Chronicles 2:5 1 Chronicles 2:9 1 Chronicles 2:19 1 Chronicles 2:50 ) .

1 I FIGLIUOLI di Giuda furono Fares, ed Hesron, e Carmi, ed Hur, e Sobal.

2 E Reaia, figliuolo di Sobal, generò Iahat; e Iahat generò Ahumai e Lahad. Queste son le famiglie de’ Soratei.

3 E questi furono figliuoli del padre di Etam, cioè: Izreel, ed Isma, ed Idbas: e il nome della lor sorella era Haslelponi.

4 E Penuel fu padre di Ghedor, ed Ezer padre di Husa. Questi furono i figliuoli di Hur, promigenito di Efrat, padre di Bet-lehem.

5 Ed Ashur, padre di Tecoa, ebbe due mogli: Helea e Naara.
