11 Così fortificò queste fortezze, e vi mise de’ capitani, e de’ magazzini di vittuaglia, e d’olio e di vino.

2 Chronicles 11:11

And he fortified the strong holds
Of these and other cities:

and put captains in them;
garrisons of soldiers, with captains over them to defend them:

and store of victual, and of oil and wine;
that they might be able to hold out a siege, should they be attacked.

10 e Sora, ed Aialon, ed Hebron, ch’erano città forti in Giuda ed in Beniamino.

11 Così fortificò queste fortezze, e vi mise de’ capitani, e de’ magazzini di vittuaglia, e d’olio e di vino.

12 E in ciascuna città mise degli scudi e delle lance; e le fortificò grandemente. Così Giuda e Beniamino furono a lui.

13 Or i sacerdoti ed i Leviti ch’erano in tutto il paese d’Israele si ridussero appresso di lui da tutte le lor contrade.
