2 Kings 1:1

Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.
] Which had been in subjection to them from the times of David, ( 2 Samuel 8:2 ) refusing to pay a tribute as they had done; taking advantage of Ahab's ill success with the king of Syria, and of his death, and the condition and circumstances of his successor.

1 ORA, dopo la morte di Achab, Moab si ribellò da Israele.
2 Ed Achazia cadde giù per un cancello, ch’era nella sua sala in Samaria, onde gli infermò; e mandò de’ messi, e disse loro: Andate, domandate Baal-zebub, dio di Ecron, se io guarirò di questa infermità.
3 Ma l’Angelo del Signore parlò ad Elia Tisbita, dicendo: Levati, sali incontro a’ messi del re di Samaria, e di’ loro: Andate voi per domandar Baal-zebub, dio di Ecron, perchè non vi sia alcun Dio in Israele?
4 Perciò adunque il Signore ha detto così: Tu non iscenderai dal letto, sopra il quale tu sei salito; anzi, per certo tu morrai. Ciò detto, Elia se ne andò.
5 E i messi ritornarono ad Achazia. Ed egli disse loro: Perchè siete ritornati?
