And the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith
The same that usurped the throne before his father's death, to anticipate Solomon, and died by his order, ( 1 Kings 1:5 ) ( 2:25 ) ;

and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;
of whom we read nowhere else.

2 ED a Davide nacquero figliuoli in Hebron; e il suo primogenito fu Ammon, di Ahinoam Izreelita;
3 e il suo secondo fu Chileab, di Abigail che era stata moglie di Nabal da Carmel; e il terzo fu Absalom, figliuolo di Maaca, figliuola di Talmai, re di Ghesur;
4 e il quarto fu Adonia, figliuolo di Hagghit; e il quinto fu Sefatia, figliuolo di Abital.
5 E il sesto fu Itream, figliuolo di Egla, donna di Davide. Questi nacquero a Davide in Hebron.
6 ORA, mentre durò la guerra fra la casa di Saulle e la casa di Davide, Abner si fece potente nella casa di Saulle.
